Privacy hedging is one of the most requested items on large-lot properties, and ficus is chosen here for density and speed. It needs the irrigation set correctly from day one, which is why the system is adjusted as the hedge goes in rather than after.
The turf area shows the part most people never see: grading and base preparation. Synthetic turf lives or dies on what is under it — get the base and drainage right and it stays flat and drains; get it wrong and it ripples and puddles within a year.
